The Green Roof Centre, founded by Groundwork Sheffield and the University of Sheffield, is a development centre for all things ‘green roof'. It offers a range of services including consultancy, project management and green roof tours across South Yorkshire, as well as a range of training events and conferences throughout the year.

Case Study:
The Green Roof Centre has been actively involved in every stage of the design, build and maintenance of the green roof on a new build primary school in Sharrow, Sheffield. The new school has been designed to make the building an elevated part of the surrounding green space. The green roof terraces provide innovative opportunities for outdoor learning and is a haven for local wildlife. The roof is 2000m 2 and covered in an extensive wildflower meadow which makes it a popular roof to visit on a green roof tour.
